Circle of Friends Circle of Friends is a support group for singles -- whether divorced, separated, widowed, or never married. Circle of friends serves Roseville, Lincoln, Rocklin, Antelope, and Granite Bay -- all within a few miles of Sacramento, California. Circle of friends encourages new friendships and spiritual growth. General meetings are held on the first Sunday of each month at St. Clare Catholic Church at 6:30 PM and the third Sunday at Saints Peter and Paul. Membership in the Catholic Church is not required, you don't even need to be a member of any church. But keep in mind, when coming to these events that most members of Circle of Friends are Catholics. The meetings are very casual. The meeting is a good place to meet with people who understand your situation and with whom you can make friends. Circle of friends holds events like: - home masses - singles masses - potlucks - Sunday brunch - concerts in the park - picnics on the lake - ski trips - hikes in the Sierra Foothills - wine tours - golf - dance classes - movie and game nights, and - theatre nights. Giving Back to Community Circle of Friends gives back to the community by volunteering for local charities. They do hands on service, for example, by painting, serving food to the community and whatever else needs to be done. Stage One Divorce and Beyond Circle of friends offers a program called Stage ONe, which is a 10-week program based on the workbook "Divorce and Beyond." It deals with the issues of divroce, separation or the loss of a spouse. The same two facilitators guide participants through a prepared curriculum for each of the 10 sessions. This program is spiritually oriented and helps to identify the various crises and chances for success one faces when one becomes newly single.
